5th Day in the City

January 22nd

My fiance Joe finally arrived in LA! He got in last night and I talked his ear off for nearly 2 hours. Seriously, you can not leave an extrovert in an apartment by herself for more than one day. I guess I could be like the random people on the streets and start talking to myself. Maybe if I walked around talking to myself people would think I am a native...or just insane.

Cali has this really cool rule about contracts. If you sign a contract (gym membership) you have 5 days to think over your decision. I was able to cancel my expensive membership today with no penalty. It is kind of hard to justify paying so much for a gym. I did some research and plan to join a facility that is more reasonable and is located in my office building. A huge perk of the new facility...I can use any of their facilities across the nation.

I had a meeting at my new workplace today. Yay for a job!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be working on some special projects until I begin to train for me permanent role. In a few months, I will begin to train for the Director of Training & Development role. I am pumped!

There is a guy playing a saxophone outside our apartment. He has been at it for several hours. With his lung capacity, I bet he could run a marathon.

I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my fiance. He called about 20 minutes ago when he was 4 miles away from the apt. Yuck...traffic sounds horrible. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we go somewhere tonight. I bet I'll see some neat things when the lights go down.
