Step Away from the Ice Cream

February 19th

Seriously I have a problem! I left the office today to run an errand for my boss. The moment I left I started thinking about ice cream. I decided that while I was out I could pick up some good ice cream. You know the kind full of really bad for you add-ins. Blizzards, cookie dough concretes, McFlurrys=good ice cream. Basically the more calories, fat and sugar the better. Conveniently there is a McDonalds in the bottom of our building. I quickly scanned the establishment for any of my co-workers (I didn't want to be seen in such a weak and vulnerable moment!) and made my way to the register. I ordered my "good" ice cream feeling a bit ashamed for my afternoon binge. I felt much better when the guy behind me ordered a hot fudge sundae. Gotta love it when you are not alone getting a sugar fix at 3pm. I asked the worker for a small bag, so I could hide my indulgent treat. Unable to control myself until I made it safely to my office, I began eating the ice cream straight from the bag. I was the office professional equivalent of a bum on the street drinking a 40-ounce out of a paper bag. I felt like such an addict riding up the escalator shoving ice cream into my mouth. Thank goodness I walked to work today, walked home for lunch and walked for the errand.
