Proof That Energy Is Contagious

My Monday started off great and the day only got better. I had lunch with the Executive Director for the LA Arthritis Foundation chapter. There is a lot of opportunity for me to use my professional skills to help the organization. I am going to be the 2010 LA Walk Chair (we are getting a head start on next year's event!). I am a firm believer that you have to give to get.

I am also the VP of Public Relations for the International Board of Directors of Yellow-Tie (a fantastic networking group in STL). My 2009 goal is to get the LA chapter up and running again. I had a wonderful meeting today with a colleague who expressed an interest in starting a networking group. Fate? Probably not. This is an example of positive energy working to bring inspired and motivated people together to achieve a common goal that will benefit others.

If I allowed my negativity towards my lack of sleep and loss of an hour over the weekend to consume my day, I don't think either one of these opportunities would have surfaced. Keep staying positive and use that energy to do great things.
